Vision - Mobile Chapel

When working with the unsaved, it is generally necessary to reach them in their everyday lives before you can ever expect them to come to a traditional "church service" or "Bible study."  In our ministry we seek to create opportunities to share the Gospel with those whom we have the ability to reach.  One such opportunity is through a "mobile chapel," which we will use to conduct Bible studies and other related events at locations throughout Starr County.  Through holding these services in the mobile chapel we break down the hesitancy of an individual to come to our "church" and open a window of opportunity to share the Gospel with them.

The Lord has provided us with a 24' enclosed trailer which we will use as our mobile chapel.  We will be purchasing a small generator to run a portable AC unit that will make the inside of this trailer much more appealing in the hot climate.  We have also been given over 50 chairs, many of which are padded, that can be used to provide seating within this chapel.  We will be using our mini-bus to transport this trailer from location to location.  It is our intention to attempt to begin weekly visits to local sites, such as orchards, where we can conduct mid-day sessions.  We will provide cold drinks (fruit-based drinks and water) and possibly a very light snack.  These sessions will be held around lunchtime and will provide a cool, relaxing place for the workers to rest, while I share with them the Good News of the Gospel.  As the people become more familiar with us and more open to our ministry we expect to see them gradually come to visit during home Bible studies and eventually church services as well.
