Vision - Home Bible Studies

Home Bible studies hold a special place in my heart, as one was used in a very special way as part of what God used to teach me of my need for salvation.  Our church planting efforts in Starr County will begin with soulwinning through evangelism and then will proceed to the establishment of home-based Bible studies.  As these grow we will guide them through the process of establishing individual autonomous Independent Baptist Churches.

In the beginning, we anticipate utilizing the casita on the property that the Lord has already provided for us as a basis for the first home-based Bible study.  As we reach additional families we will hold studies in other locations where we anticipate the future development of a church.  These Bible studies will be conducted as local fellowships of believers but will not take the place of actual church services (ie they will not be held on Sunday).  We will encourage these believers to be faithful to church attendance, most likely beginning at Iglesia Bautista Betania in McAllen and then moving to a local church of their own as they are established in the Starr County area.

What the outisde of our casita originally looked like, when it was purchased in March of 2008 (it is the building to the right). What the inside of our casita originally looked like, when it was purchased.
