Vision - Evangelism

I find it strange to include evangelism as part of our ministry, as I truly believe that evangelism is the responsibility of every believer (ie, not just a "missionary" function).  However, as missionaries we do place a very high emphasis on this activity and will do whatever we can to take the Gospel to as many people as we can.  Our major focus is currently on the residents of Starr County, Texas.  According to statistics, Starr County has the lowest literacy rate of any county in the United States.  Due to this, it is our expectation that the majority of our evangelism will be done 1-on-1, reaching people on an individual basis and sharing the Gospel with them verbally.

We recognize also that our local area is not the only location in need of evangelization.  As we develop resources in the Spanish language we will seek to make these available for others to use around the world.

As with church planting, there are many ways to perform "evangelism," and there are many ministries we will use to provide opportunities to share the Gospel.  Each of these are covered in more detail in other areas of this website.
