Vision - Benevolence Outreach

We recognize that as Christ went through His ministry here on earth he took the opportunity to meet people's physical needs while also meeting their spiritual need.  Although it is not our intention to try and meet all of the physical needs of the people in Starr County, we do recognize that we will occasionally be able to be used in this way and desire to take advantage of these opportunities as well.  Many of the people living in Starr County are experiencing financial problems and can benefit from a variety of types of assistance.  Specific guidelines for a benevolence outreach have not been set at this time, but some preliminary thoughts include providing support only to families with which we are actively working, and whom are responding to the message of the Gospel.  We will also limit the total amount of support given to an individual family.  Our goal with a benevolence outreach is to 1.) Have additional opportunities to share the Gospel and 2.) Demonstrate the love of Christ to those around us.
