Just a quick update for you today. We had a good service this morning, including 3 new visitors. Selma returned with her three children, as well as three children that are related to her. Tonight we should have a final count for summer camp for next week, but it's looking like we may have as many as 7 children coming from her family (and relatives) plus our 2, for a total of 9. Today we went sightseeing with the group from Virginia and were able to get a much better view of the flooding. For those that have been here before and been to these places, the photos will be more impressive. The flooding is bad, but it's not looking like it has any chance of reaching us, so we are very thankful.

Group shot this morning after service but before sightseeing.

A view of the river at Roma Bluffs. The clump of brush on the other side of the river is the tops of trees that used to be a park.

To the far left of the photo you can see a very small clump of green next to the bridge. That is the top of the trees that usually line the river.

This new "lake" is down a side-road in downtown Rio Grande City. I've been here before, but this lake hasn't been!

A closer view of the trucks from the previous photo.

Another view looking in a different direction. Again, I've been here before and have never been able to see the river from this spot. In the middle of this photo is a thicker green clump. That's a small island in the lake. To the left of the clump a

This shot shows the water as seen from the top of Loma de la Cruz. As those that have been here before can testify, you're not supposed to see the river from here!

Zooming in from the previous photo.

A little to the right of the previous photo.

This is in the opposite direction. The brown is water in a field that was recently plowed.

These guys were taking advantage of the weather and water for a quick horse ride.
