Just a quick update to ask for continued prayer regarding our weather situation. The hurricane last week has left us with saturated grounds and flooding rivers. Unfortunately, that is being worsened by the tropical depression that hit today. So far the rain has been relatively light in our area, but we are forecast to continue receiving rain throughout the night and into the day tomorrow. However, perhaps a bigger concern is that the reservoirs upriver are over capacity, so they are opening the dams to release water into the already flooded river. We're being told that Starr County is urging residents to prepare for mandatory evacuations, should they become necessary in the coming days. I'm not sure how much the river needs to rise to flood our particular area, but since we are less than 1 mile from the river I don't think it would take much. We are supposed to have a group arrive tomorrow evening to begin construction on our new building, so this is obviously an even worse time (as if their were a good time) for this to be happening. We'll keep you up-to-date as we know more.
