| As promised, another update for a couple of reasons. First, we have some more photos of our recent trip back east to share with you. Most of these were taken by Melissa's mom and step-father during our stay with them. We hope you enjoy them. There is also a photo of us at the Creation Science Museum in Ohio with my dad and step-mother. Also, we wanted to update you on a couple of things. First, please pray with us about the bus. Once again, the AC is having problems. I dropped it off yesterday to have the freon charged and they said the clutch and compressor were both bad. Funny thing is this company replaced the compressor in 2008 and the clutch in 2008 and again in 2009. So, the odds of them both being bad yet again is highly suspicious. They have since backtracked and said the compressor is okay and they are replacing the clutch under warranty (like they did in 2009). We just want it to work, so please pray with us to that end. Also, this morning I met with Pastor Darío Ortega from Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel here in Roma, Texas. His church is one I had seen before but never been able to contact due to disconnected phone lines. I was able to get in touch with him just before our trip East, but due to the lateness of that connection I had to wait until now to meet him in person. We had breakfast together and took the opportunity to get to know one another better. It seems we are in agreement doctrinally and are going to be looking at areas where we can work together in ministry. He agrees that there is little available in the way of fellowship opportunities for us as Independent Baptists here in the Valley, and therefore is excited about this opportunity as well. He speaks no English, so it's a good opportunity for me to continue expanding my Spanish skills as well! Please be in prayer that this relationship might prove fruitful and be a blessing to us both.
