| We hope this update finds you all well. Things continue moving forward here in the Valley. I've been busy for the last couple of days trying to get ready for the next two Sunday services. For some reason it takes a little more time to prepare for these types of special services than for a "regular" service. But, the Lord is blessing and I'm enjoying the time of preparation! Not much new to report. The biggest news concerns our bulk mailing of the postcards. The first batch went out today around 900 postcards to cover all of Route 3 (the route in which we are located). We received ours in the mail at around 1:00p. About 15 minutes ago I received a phone call from a gentleman who lives less than 1/2 a mile away who received a postcard. We spoke for a little while, but speaking in Spanish is hard enough in person, but much more difficult on the phone. So, I asked if I could come visit him tomorrow and he said yes. So, tomorrow I will follow-up with him, along with the continued follow-up with the contacts from the county fair. Please continue to pray for additional contacts from these postcards. We don't expect tremendous results, but every person is a blessing to us! If we can pick up just 1 family from each route that would be 4 families in the course of the year and would be a great foundation for the start of the church. In other news, you may have noticed the photo for this update. That is the logo of a group that is now scheduled to come work with us this summer. Their plans originally had them traveling to Saltillo, Mexico, but due to the violence in Mexico they had to abort that trip. They will be with us for 1-week and will be helping with physical labor here on the property as well as a wide variety of outreach activities. We are truly looking forward to the time with them. We also have another group coming about two weeks later to help with additional physical repairs on the property, mainly in the construction of the new sanctuary. Please be in prayer for both groups as they try to finish raising the funds for these trips, and also for us as we plan the activities. Have a great day! |
