Next Update Previous Update

2/6/2010 4:53:41 PM

Just a couple of quick updates. First, Addie did go to the new neurologist yesterday. Basically, he said she's sick. We knew that. He's not sure why though. He says it's *probably* either migraines or seizures, but he doesn't know which or why for either. So, this coming Wednesday she is scheduled to have an EEG and an MRI done. Hopefully after those tests we will know more about what is causing the problems. She is continuing to have headaches almost every day, as well as ongoing dizziness and nausea. Today I was back out on visitation and managed to reach a number of homes. The people were friendly and I even wound up speaking with one lady for about 15 minutes whom I met a few months back on jury duty! I trust the Lord will bless our continued service and bring visitors in the near future. In other news, I recently told you about the signs we put up....one in front of our home and a matching one on the main road. Well, below is a photo of the one in front of our home. The other sign was stolen. They took the sign, the cables, the cedar posts, everything. I did check with the county and their is nothing wrong with us having the sign there, so it wasn't them. The neighbor had also given me permission (it's his land), so that's not the problem. I imagine it's someone that just doesn't like our particular ministry. So, it's good that we're gaining attention, but bad that they stole the sign. I am going to be speaking with the neighbor again in the next couple of days about "renting" that piece of land (for say $10 a month) and putting up a permanent sign with 4x4 posts in concrete and a plexiglass, graffiti-resistant sign attached with numerous bolts that will be permanently "welded" in place. A little harder to steal that sign. We are also seriously considering the "bulk mailing" option I mentioned in our last update, as it seems the most efficient manner to get our message out quickly. Unfortunately, the local paper is completely ignoring my requests for either an article or an advertisment I'm offering to pay for the ad, but they will not respond to my requests to put it in the paper, though several other "church" ads and articles are in the paper every week. Not sure why, but we'll just continue on, trusting that the Lord does not need a newspaper to accomplish His work! Also, no progress still on the property, though I was contacted yesterday by a church that is interested in coming this summer on a missions trip to help with physical labor as well as evangelism. It's still early, but we're praying they would be able to come and that we could accomplish much together while they are here. Have a great day!

We had a sign just like this on the main road, but it was stolen a couple of days ago. This sign is in front of our house.
