"Nadie tiene mayor amor que éste, que ponga alguno su vida por sus amigos."
     - San Juan 15:13

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
     - John 15:13

While we understand that our entire ministry is under the leadership of Christ, and that nothing can happen outside of his timeframe, we also understand the wisdom of making plans and having goals. Shown below are the plans that we have made, after much prayer and consideration. These plans are certainly subject to change as the Holy Spirit leads and directs in our lives.

2006, June - Began formal deputation
Our formal deputation process began in June of 2006.

2008, July 28th - Leave for Rio Grande City, Texas
Though I will have to fly back east for our final 3 meetings, we will be departing from Savannah, Georgia on this day, heading for our new home in Rio Grande City.  It will take 3 long days to make the drive, having us arrive on July 30th.

2008, July 31st - Prepare the property in Rio Grande City
There are a number of things that need to be repaired on the property before we "move in".  Additionally, there is also the basic need of unloading our belongings and setting up the house.  I will be flying out of the area on August 9th to hold our last 3 meetings, and therefore the majority of this work needs to be completed between July 31st and August 8th.  If you are interested in helping in this effort, please contact us.

2008, August 13th - Deputation completed
We are currently scheduled to have our last "formal" deputation meeting on August 13th.  This will mark an end to the "formal" deputation process, but will more-thank-likely leave us with a need to raise additional support at a later date.

2008, August 18th - Language School Begins
We will be leaving from Virginia on August 14th to make the 32-hour trek to southern Texas, where we will be attending language school.  It is currently out plan to enroll in the new school being opened by Sis. Alicia Gilbert.  She is one of the premier teachers that used to work with the Rio Grande Missionary Language School.  This August she will be opening her own Independent Baptist language school out of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Donna, Texas.

Also during this time we will be attending and working at at least two area churches.  The first is Iglesia Bautista Fundamental located in Brownsville, Texas. This church was started and is currently pastored by Victor Alvarez.  The second is Iglesia Bautista Betania located in Mission, Texas, pastored by Noe Mendoza .  We will also inquire into the possibility of working with Iglesia Bautista del Valle in McAllen, Texas, pastored by Pedro Garcia, Jr.

This is intended to be a time of not only learning the Spanish language, but also the unique Hispanic culture that is present in the Rio Grande Valley.

2009, July - Begin work in Rio Grande City
During our language school training, we will have the opportunity to thoroughly evaluate the potential for new works in specific areas in and around Rio Grande City. Upon our graduation we will take a very brief amount of time to finish establishing our new home in that area but will then immediately go to work in whatever specific location we have determined that God would have us to begin our ministry.
